This work is an early test for utilizing symbols, graphics, and special finishes on metal surfaces that make reference to manufactured objects. Being inspired by industrial forms and design, this wall piece became my own sign to direct the viewer ambiguously. Its format and the location of the arrows, at first unintentionally, directs the viewer on how to move their eye throughout the piece, as the designs and symbols flow between each section. The arrows in a row can read as an instructional sign indicating to move in the direction they point to, but where does this lead? That is up to the viewer to decide.
