This necklace is a reconstruction of the 2007 radioactive warning sign used for individuals that work with radioactive material. The sign has many elements, including the original, that come together to communicate a very obvious instruction and warning. The designers tested this new sign, by presenting it to many ages and ethnicities around the world; they found that its instruction was clear and decided to implement it shortly after. These multiple elements meant different things, but when unified into one sign took on a new meaning and instructed the obvious threat of death to the viewer. Taking each element, I decided to rework them to come together again into a new composition and create a neckpiece.
